Apr 13-14, 2011 - Clarion Events uses SpotiD at World Gambling Briefing in Malta

Once again Clarion turned to SpotiD to provide Mobile Audience Engagement. This time in Malta for their World Gambling Briefing.

During the 2 day conference at the Hilton Malta, the audience could use email, sms, twitter and mobile web to send questions to the speakers and pannel any time they thought of a question.  The speaker's table next to the lectern had a laptop accessing the SpotiD website via WiFi.  Audience questions were relayed to that laptop in realtime from the audience.   Interestingly some delegates even sent questions for the speakers & panel to answer while they were not in the conference room. Questions that were thought of over dinner or during networking conversations alongside the conference sessions generated questions that those delegates just used their mobiles to submit the questions before they forgot.  This is something that traditional Audience Response Systems cannot deliver.

Now that the event is finished, the Clarion Gaming marketing team are extracting the questions from the event and using selected ones in Linked in discussions to keep the community interaction going.

Finally, during the two days, delegates another SpotiD feature: Delegate Networking - to exchange digital business cards and send messages to other delegates to request meetings without needing to know their contact details. These were kept confidential.
