This policy (together with our Terms of Use and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), the data controller is Spot iD UK Limited of 55 Station Road, Beaconsfield, Bucks HP9 1QL.
INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU
We may collect and process the following data about you:
- Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site www.SpotiD.me (our site). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. Once registered on our site, you are not anonymous to us. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.
- If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
- We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
- Details of your visits to our site and the resources that you access.
- Mobile phone numbers that are used to request SMS messages from us.
- Other forms of electronic identification that you request messages from us such as your unique Twitter Identifier, your email address, your Instant Messaging Tool and the unique Identifier you use to access it.
- We will automatically create a free account with us using your mobile phone number or other unique Identifier (if you do not already have an existing account). You can Sign in to your account by using your mobile phone number or unique Identifier and a unique password generated for you which will be included in an outbound Welcome message sent to you by us on the same channel that you contacted us (except Voice).
- If you are a business user you will be required to provide confidential information such as credit card details, PayPal account details or bank account details. The collection of this information is for the sole purpose of automating a "Top-Up" process to ensure your business has pre-paid sufficient credits to generate responses to requests for information. This information will never be disclosed and you will receive electronic invoices for Top-Ups via email and stored at your account on our site for viewing and downloading.
IP ADDRESSES AND COOKIES
We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
For the same reason we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalized service.
They enable us:
- To estimate our audience size and usage pattern
- To speed up your searches.
- To store information about your preferences, and so allow us to customize our site according to your individual interests.
- To recognize you when you return to our site.

This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
- If the usage of our Service by Third Party is conducted at an event such as a Conference, Exhibition, Fair, Trade Show, Concert, Festival or Fayre/Fair where by attending said event, you have already disclosed or made available your contact details to the organiser of the event or any of their clients, by any means, that the event organiser or their clients may have access to your contact details irrespective of using our services or not.
In all cases except the clause immediately above, we shall never distribute or sell your personal information to any third party except when you have indicated explicitly that you wish us to do so, in order to obtain specific information from a Spot owner.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data You can also exercise the right at any time by contacting us at SpotiD Support .
Our site may from time to time, contain links to and from other websites. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
ACCESS TO INFORMATION
The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS
Where payments are processed via Credit Card or PayPal, Credit Card numbers and PayPal accounts are not retained on our database. All personal information that you provide will not be passed to third parties.
CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by email.
ACCOUNT INFORMATION
You can edit your account information at any time by visiting your profile.
We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the our service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and service notifications, that are considered part of your account, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.
You can delete your entire Spot iD account by e-mailing SpotiD Support and requesting that we delete your account. Alternatively you send send an SMS to 60365 (in the UK) or +447781474817 with the command 'STOP ALL' or 'SpotiD STOP'. Any tracking information that may have been collected during your visits to www.SpotiD.me may remain after your account has been permanently deleted.
